Mohammed Siraj roars after getting Wicket

The 47th game of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 would pit the Rajasthan Royals (RR) against the Gujarat Titans (GT). On Monday, April 28, the game will take place at RR’s home field, Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

1. Jofra Archer vs Shubman Gill2. Dhruv Jurel vs Rashid Khan3. Mohammed Siraj vs Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Gujarat has been in the top half of the points table for the majority of the season due to their outstanding performances. Meanwhile, RR is having trouble getting off the ground after suffering a string of losses recently.

GT defeated RR in Ahmedabad in their season-opening match. The squad coached by Shubman Gill will have the advantage going into this matchup because of that outcome and both teams’ recent performance.

In light of that, let’s examine three player clashes to be aware of in this competition:

1. Jofra Archer vs Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill kept his team steady at the start

Jofra Archer delivers high performances by batting first while obtaining quick wickets along with stopping batters in the final overs. When GT and RR locked horns earlier in the season Archer gave up affluent bowling which resulted in 1 run and 30 runs conceded within his 4-over spell.

The opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan has produced memorable batting alignments throughout the current season. Archer has held Gill out three times through his bowling during five innings and fifteen deliveries of T20s matches. Throughout his match against GT the skipper secured only 10 runs from those deliveries.

When the two teams played in Ahmedabad earlier this season, Archer dismissed Gill, sending the opening batsman back to the pavilion for a cheap three-ball two.

2. Dhruv Jurel vs Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan celebrates Wicket

During this season Dhruv Jurel has experienced mixed results that include impressive and disappointing performances at the batting crease. Playing against spinning bowling continues to be a difficulty for Jurel so he may encounter major challenges against Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan.

Kishore is playing effectively with the ball, despite Rashid Khan’s lackluster play this season. In seven appearances, Jurel has been dismissed three times against spinners and has amassed 78 runs off of them in 74 deliveries.

The Afghanistan spinner will try to make it two in two this season after dismissing Jurel in the GT vs. RR match in the 2025 Indian Premier League.

3. Mohammed Siraj vs Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, RR’s youngest sensation, made a spectacular IPL debut and has since established himself as a mainstay on the team. Even though he hasn’t played in the high-stakes matches of the lucrative event before, his strong intent has been evident since his debut.

The 13-year-old will take on Mohammed Siraj, one of the tournament’s more experienced bowlers. In the powerplay, the GT pacer has been able to provide his team significant breakthroughs, and he will try to do the same against RR.

This battle could be the game-changing moment, therefore it will be interesting to see how the young RR batter responds to Siraj’s tactics.
