Sanju Samson and Gill dring the RR vs GT Match

On Monday, April 28, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will play IPL 2025 match number 47 at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. RR is virtually eliminated from the postseason race after just two victories in nine games. With 12 points from eight games, GT, on the other hand, is in second place.

Rajasthan won their last IPL 2025 match on April 5, defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 50 runs in Mullanpur. They have since suffered five straight losses. In the last three games, RR has crumbed from a winning position in chases, which is a startlingly similar pattern to their losses. Their cause has suffered as a result of captain Sanju Samson’s injury-related absences.

Gujarat’s IPL 2025 campaign has been extremely clinical thus far. Sherfane Rutherford has also contributed with important cameos, and their top three of Sai Sudharsan, captain Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler have all made noteworthy contributions. Rashid Khan has improved his game following a lackluster start to the season, and Prasidh Krishna has been outstanding in the bowling department.

GT now leads RR by 6-1 in the IPL head-to-head duel. In the meantime, Monday’s IPL 2025 match number 47 in Jaipur might see the achievement of several milestones. Here’s the lowdown.

1. GT pacer Prasidh Krishna needs 3 wickets to reach significant T20 milestone

Prasidh Krishna has probably been the best fast bowler outside the powerplay in this IPL

GT pacer Prasidh has had a fantastic IPL 2025 season. With a best of 4-41, the right-arm pacer has taken 16 wickets at an economy rate of 7.29 and an average of 14.12 in eight innings. In the IPL 2025, he is now the second-leading wicket-taker.

Prasidh needs three wickets to reach 100 scalps in his T20 career. With the help of two four-fers, he has taken 97 wickets at an economy rate of 8.48 and an average of 28.97 in 90 games. 65 of his T20 wickets, at an economy rate of 8.69, have come in the IPL from 59 games, averaging 29.67.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal Just 37 Runs Away from 2,000 IPL Runs

Yashasvi Jaiswal notched up a fifty

Yashasvi Jaiswal has sparked joy for Rajasthan Royals by scoring runs through his opening position in their poor IPL 2025 performance. His performance in nine matches revealed 356 runs distributed over 39.55 average and 148.95 strike rate alongside his four half-centuries.

Left-handed batter still requires another 37 runs to hit 2,000 runs during his IPL playing career. The left-handed batter achieved 1,963 runs across his 61 innings of IPL play at a typical 33.27 average with a tightening 150.30 strike rate and 15 half-centuries and two hundred scores.

3. Jos Buttler 62 Runs Away from 4,000 IPL Runs Milestone

Jos Buttler plays it late, Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Gujarat Titans Match

The impressive performance of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025 significantly benefits from the powerful batting talent of Buttler. His performance consists of 356 runs across eight matches with 71.20 average and 165.58 strike rate and three half-century scores.

The cricketer from England has another 62 runs until reaching 4,000 runs during his IPL sporting career. Buttler played 114 innings across which he accumulated 3.938 runs while maintaining an average of 39.77 using 148.99 swings per delivery to score seven hundred-point innings and twenty-two fifty-point innings. Buttler requires five more boundaries to earn 400 four-balls in his IPL career history.

4. Sai Sudharsan is 71 runs away from 2,000 T20 runs

Sai Sudharsan celebrates his 33-ball fifty, Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians

In IPL 2025, GT opener Sudharsan has been remarkably reliable. With five half-centuries, including a best of 82, he has amassed 417 runs in eight innings at an average of 52.12 and a strike rate of 152.18.

To reach 2,000 runs in his T20 career, the left-handed hitter needs to score 71 runs. With one hundred and thirteen fifties, Sudharsan has amassed 1,929 runs at an average of 41.93 and a strike rate of 134.61 in 52 innings. In order to reach 1,500 runs in his IPL career, he also needs 49 runs. Sudharsan has amassed 1,451 runs in 33 innings.

5. Maheesh Theekshana needs 1 scalp to complete 200 wickets in his T20 career

Riyan Parag, Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga and Shimron Hetmyer

Maheesh Theekshana from RR has experienced a combination of highs and lows in his IPL 2025 run. During eight of his matches he obtained seven wickets with averages at 41 and an economy level of 9.56. Maheesh Theekshana requires obtaining one wicket in order to surpass 200 career wickets in T20 matches. The bowler has participated in 192 matches where he collected 199 wickets at 25.16 average and 6.89 economy average while achieving 4 four-wicket hauls.

Other landmarks that can be achieved in RR vs GT IPL 2025 match

  • Shubman Gill needs 7 fours for 350 IPL fours
  • Tushar Deshpande 2 wickets away from 50 IPL scalps
  • Riyan Parag needs 5 fours to complete 200 T20 fours
  • Nitish Rana needs 3 sixes to complete 250 sixes in T20s
