The 48th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match will be between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). On Tuesday, April 29, the match will take place in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
With six victories from nine games, the Capitals are ranked fourth in the standings. Following a run of victories, Delhi suffered several defeats and has only won twice in their last five games. They were defeated by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their most recent game.
In contrast, KKR has recently had a number of dismal performances. Rain in Kolkata caused their match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) to be canceled after they had lost two straight games. The team captained by Ajinkya Rahane will be looking to recover after only seven points from nine games.
The three player bouts to look out for in this contest are as follows:
1. Faf du Plessis vs Harshit Rana

Faf du Plessis, who missed a few games due to a slight injury, is back in DC’s starting lineup. The DC vice-captain returned to the first order after Jake Fraser McGurk was benched due to his poor play.
Only three of the nine games that Harshit Rana has played so far have seen him go wicketless. To keep his side in the running for a postseason berth, he will be eager to improve his powerplay performance, which he has taken 11 wickets in these games.
Rana has already dismissed Du Plessis once in two T20 matches. The Protea hitter has hit eight runs, including a maximum, off the KKR seamer in five deliveries.
2. KL Rahul vs Varun Chakaravarthy

KL Rahul will be fired up for the next game as DC looks to maintain accumulating points to their total, even though he seemed a little out of touch in the team’s last match against RCB. He will be DC’s main batter because of his excellent play this season.
Similar to Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy has taken 11 wickets in his nine appearances and has gone wicketless in just three of them. In five innings of 46 deliveries, he has removed KL Rahul once in T20 cricket, and the keeper-batter has scored 45 runs off of them.
3. Sunil Narine vs Axar Patel

KKR fans should look forward to the Sunil Narine vs Axar Patel showdown during the powerplay phase of this season. They have clashed several times successfully during T20 matches.
As a batter, Narine has faced 16 deliveries from Patel and amassed 32 runs at a 200-run strike rate. In these games, the KKR all-rounder has fallen victim to the DC captain once and struck him for three sixes and two fours.
However, the DC all-rounder has conceded three wickets in these games while scoring 29 runs in 35 deliveries against the Caribbean in 12 innings. This will be one of the most intriguing matches since both players will have the opportunity to bowl their allotted number of overs and have solid batting opportunities.
