On July 4, 2025, legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Singh MS Dhoni, celebrated their fifteenth wedding anniversary. Sakshi shared a straightforward and seldom social media message that went viral to commemorate the occasion. Sakshi posted an unseen photo of the couple holding hands and stated, “We took a vow! On to the 16th.
In 2010, Sakshi Rawat and MS Dhoni were married in a private ceremony in Dehradun. Only a select handful were aware of the wedding, which was kept under wraps until the festivities ended. In 2015, they welcomed a daughter named Ziva into the world. Although MS Dhoni has avoided social media, Sakshi periodically posts pictures from their time in Ranchi.
MS Dhoni, despite retiring from international cricket in August 2020, remained a prominent figure in Indian cricket talks as the couple celebrated another anniversary of their marriage. The only captain to accomplish so, the former captain of India guided the team to the Champions Trophy in 2013, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2007 T20 World Cup.
Will MS Dhoni feature in IPL 2026?

Earlier this year, MS Dhoni was admitted into the ICC Hall of Fame. After Ruturaj Gaikwad was sidelined by injury in the 2025 Indian Premier League, MS Dhoni returned to captain the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Even so, CSK’s season did not go as expected, as they placed last in the standings. After the 2025 season, a lot of fans and former cricket players conjectured about MS Dhoni’s possible future in the IPL; he has not yet made a public announcement confirming his choice.
“It depends. Again, I would say the same thing: I have four-five months to decide, there’s no hurry to decide what needs to be done. Every year, it’s 15% more effort to keep the body fit – not to forget this is top-level cricket. It’s professional cricket – you have to be at your best – and it’s not always performance that you can count, because if cricketers start retiring because of performance, then a few of them will retire when they’re 22.”

“What is important to see is how much hunger you have, what kind of fitness you have, and how much you can contribute to the team, and whether the team needs you or not. So I have enough time. I will go back to Ranchi – haven’t been home for a long time – enjoy a few bike rides, [take a] couple of months and then decide. I’m not saying I’m done, I’m not saying I’m coming back. As I said, I have the luxury of time. When you have the luxury then why not think about it and then decide.”
