The 3rd India vs England test match started today (July 10) at Lord Cricket Ground in London. The two teams each had one win in the five match series at the time heading in to this game. The England captain, Ben Stokes, called the toss and chose to go to bat first in the third Test.
In the third Test England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and decided to bat first. Zak Crawley (18) and Ben Duckett (23) watchedfully began at the hosts against Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep. The new ball saw hard efforts by the Indian trio of pacemen but they failed to snap the opening partnership.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, an all-rounder, ultimately supplied the visitors with their first breakthrough by removing Ben Duckett in the 14th over. To make his team twice as happy, he also sent back Zak Crawley at the end of the same over. The team reached 153/2 before the tea break when Joe Root and Ollie Pope put up a 109-run partnership and finished the second session without losing a wicket.
Fans were captivated by the excitement that unfolded over the first two sessions of the third Test. On social media, many shared memes to show their reactions. The top memes are as follows:

Anil Kumble Surprised by Kuldeep Yadav’s Omission from India’s XI for 3rd Test

Former Indian captain Anil Kumble recently stated that Kuldeep Yadav should have been given a shot in the playing XI for the third Test against England at Lords. During a conversation on ESPNcricinfo, Kumble examined the makeup of India’s Test team and stated:
“I would certainly have wanted to have someone like a Kuldeep (Yadav) in the side. Even in the last game, I thought Kuldeep would have certainly been a part of it. But (Jasprit) Bumrah coming back, no-brainer. You need to be playing him in the XI and unfortunately, Prasidh (Krishna) misses out. What’s really good is all three fast bowlers have picked up a fifer already.”

“Even the spinners hardly bowled. Washington Sundar hardly bowled, yes he got the crucial wicket of Ben Stokes. (Ravindra) Jadeja picked up a couple of wickets. But three all-rounders, all three of them, Jadeja is the bowling all-rounder, so to speak. It is too early for us to speak about Washington (Sundar). He’s had a good series against New Zealand as a spinner.”
