Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes had a match-ending collision on Day 3 of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester and Ben Stroke was involved in an accident where it was seen that he needed attention.

The accident occurred when the ball was in 4 th attempt during the 113 th over. Stokes lost his balance in the shot and fell, but he still was able to make the clean contact. In spite of the fumble the ball raced to the boundary in front of square.

Ben Stokes lay flat on the ground after hitting it, watching the ball travel all the way to the fence. He kept his gaze on the ball while he remained low.

Ben Stokes of England batting during day three of the fourth Rothesay Test Match

Stokes was unbeaten on 77 off 134 as England finished the day on 544/7, ahead by 186 runs. Previously, the hosts bowled India out for 358 in the first innings.

After 15 Test innings, this is his first score of 50 or more against India. The left-hander will be hoping to reach three figures when he returns to bat on the fourth day.

England Captain Ben Stokes had a tough day with bat in hand in Manchester during the fourth test. He formed a brilliant partnership with Joe Root who scored for his 38th Test hundred.

Stokes did play an crucial role with bat, but in middle he had faced lot of pressure. Earlier in the day, he got a good crunch on the box which made him suffering on that bit for a bit.

On the third ball of the 91st over from Mohammed Siraj, just after the second new ball was taken, Stokes was hit by a back-of-length delivery that nipped back in. Later, he had to walk off the field after the 116th over because of cramps. He was seen limping as he made his way up the stairs to the dressing room.

But the best batsmen of the day are the ones who do not accept defeat but come back to bat later on; Ben Stokes, who was on 66 when he stepped off came in again after the seventh wicket fell and added 11 runs to his score.
