Team India will begin their preparations for the Asia Cup 2025 with a training and fitness camp at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru before heading to the UAE. A similar conditioning camp was held at the NCA ahead of the 2023 edition to sharpen skills and improve fitness.
The tournament will play from September 9 to 28 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. India is in Group A with Pakistan, Oman, and the hosts UAE. Their campaign starts with UAE on September 10 and then they face Pakistan on September 14.

Ahead of the squad announcement, players like Ishan Kishan, Riyan Parag, Hardik Pandya, Abhishek Sharma, and Shreyas Iyer reported to the CoE for fitness checks. Captain Suryakumar Yadav, who recently returned from a sports hernia surgery, also cleared his test. A full-squad camp will now follow.
With a packed schedule ahead — including a white-ball series against Australia, games versus South Africa, and preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup — the camp will be crucial for managing workload and preventing injuries.

On Tuesday, selectors named a 15-member squad led by Suryakumar, with Shubman Gill as vice-captain. The blend of youth and experience will look to help India reclaim the Asia Cup crown.
