On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the Indian team, and support staff were awarded 21 crores of prize money by the BCCI after they thrash Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup at the Dubai international cricket stadium.
Pakistan batted first, and was able to make only 146 in 19.1 overs. They were off to a good start by Openers Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan creating a 84 run stand but in the second half of the innings the bowlers of India turned the tide brilliantly to limit them.
India faced early trouble in the chase as Pakistan’s pacers struck three times in the powerplay. However, Tilak Varma held the innings together with a composed 69* off 53 balls, supported well by Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube. Rinku Singh sealed the win in the final over, taking India to another Asia Cup title.

With five wickets remaining, India won the match in 19.4 overs. In the 17th Asia Cup, this was India’s third triumph over bitter rivals Pakistan.
