Friday, November 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi set fire to the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha his amazing ball hitting in an India A game at the Asia Cup Rising Stars in the UAE match.
India A slipped behind in the second over after Ahmed Tariq ran out Arya Priyansh, who mistimed his shot following Jitesh Sharma’s decision to bat first. After that, Suryavanshi took on Naman Dhir, and the 14-year-old turned the Punjab batter into a mere spectator as he powered a 163-run partnership in just 57 deliveries.
Instead, in the third over, Suryavanshi unleashed and scored four and two sixes respectively off the three consecutive balls. And the southpaw did not even turn back after this strike, waving the boundaries, it seemed easier to him, in the helpless teeth of the spinners in the UAE. The Rajasthan Royals batter seemed to have no fielders in the field and hit fours and sixes.
In reality, he was reprimanding himself after hitting a four because his primary goal was to clear the ropes with each throw. He appeared unstoppable against the UAE bowlers, striking as well on both sides of the field. The Bihar hitter didn’t need to try any fancy shots because his knock was oozing with force.

It was Suryavanshi who got to his half-century of the powerplay with just 17 balls. He struck a milestone by hitting Muhammad Rohit Khan a boundary between midwicket and long-on. Suryavanshi had another 15 deliveries to make his half a century a ton.
He crossed the three-figure mark in the tenth over, driving Muhammad Arfan for a boundary beyond deep extra cover. In the eleventh over, Alishan Sharafu introduced left-arm bowler Harshit Kaushik, but the move backfired as Suryavanshi hammered him for four sixes and a boundary in just five balls.
Muhammad Farazuddin finally stopped the carnage in the 13th over when Ahmed Tariz caught Suryavanshi at deep extra cover. The young slugger walked back after smashing 144 runs off 42 balls, including 11 fours and 15 towering sixes.
Take a look at how ‘X’ users reacted to Suryavanshi’s epic knock:
