According to Google’s Year in Search 2025, cricketers drove more internet searches in India this year than any other category. However, the young Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the most Googled personality. Suryavanshi’s star was born during the IPL, where he became the youngest male cricketer to make a T20 century. He smashed a 101 off 38 balls against the Gujarat Titans while playing for the Rajasthan Royals, which came peppered with seven fours and 11 sixes. He reached 100 off just 35 balls, the secondfastest hundred in IPL and first fastest by an Indian. And the newly-minted household name is created in an inning.

While in Qatar representing his country again at the Rising Stars Asia Cup, he faced up to UAE and blasted 26 sixes as part of a savage century from 32 balls. The 42-ball innings of unmatched power dominance was studded with a whopping 11 boundaries and as many as 15 sixes, putting it among the most boundary-laden ones in T20 history.
