Hardik Pandya became the sixth men’s T20 International player to take 100 wickets and score 1,000 runs. Pandya achieved the feat in his 38th T20 International, third against South Africa at Dharamsala to take his wickets tally in the format to 99. His Tristan Stubbs dismissal was a milestone and took him to 100 T20I wickets, demonstrating his worth as a genuine all-rounder.
With this performance, Pandya is only the third Indian men’s cricketer to achieve 100 T20I wickets after Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh. His international cricket comeback has been particularly impressive, having sustained an injury in the Asia Cup earlier this year.

Hardik Pandya had an immediate effect, scoring a blazing 28-ball 59 and claiming 1/16 when he played his first T20I in the ongoing series against South Africa. India emerged victorious in that game, but was defeated at Mullanpur in the second T20I with Pandya making 20 runs.
The 100 wickets and 1,000 runs in men’s T20Is is an extraordinary achievement. He was preceded by Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh and then Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi. In November 2025, Zimbabwean Sikandar Raza and Malaysian Virandeep Singh joined the elite list as third and fourth male cricketers respectively.

Within all T20 Internationals, male or female, Australia’s Ellyse Perry achieved the feat before Pakistan great Nida Dar did. Deepti Sharma was the first Indian cricketer to reach there, which makes Pandya’s feat all the more significant.
