The opener of India KL Rahul got a bitter experience during the second Test between India and West Indies held on October 13 at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi. With a small target of 121 runs to win the series, Rahul was struck around the groin region by a sharp delivery by Jayden Seales which bounced out of the ordinary.
The impact left Rahul in visible pain as he dropped to his knees. Team physio Kamlesh Jain quickly came onto the field to check on him. After a brief pause and some treatment, Rahul recovered, adjusted his gear, and continued batting to help India move closer to victory.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was at the head with a brilliant 175 out of 258 balls, Sai Sudharsan had a significant part to play and scored 87 out of 165 balls, and the skipper Shubman Gill did not lose the game with 129 out of 196 balls. Jomel Warrican was the best bowler of West Indies as he had the statistics of 3/98.
West Indies stage dramatic comeback to stay alive in the series

In the first part, West Indies performed poorly and was bowled out after 248 runs in 81.5 overs and was requested to follow on. Their highest scorer was Alick Athanaze with 41 runs, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeka were the stars with the ball and took five and three wickets respectively to ensure that India was in control of the game.
The visitors were more competitive in the second innings and they managed to score 390 runs over 118.5 overs. John Campbell scored a good 115 and Shai Hope, with 103 and Justin Greaves was undefeated with 50. In the case of India, both Kuldeep and Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets apiece to terminate the innings leaving India in the lead in the game.
