Abhishek Sharma has stated that Shikhar Dhawan, a former Indian cricketer, was behind his distinctive ‘chit celebration’ during an IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings earlier this year. Abhishek scored 141 off 55 in the game, which Sunrisers Hyderabad won by eight wickets. Abhishek claimed that Dhawan had called him to his residence to discuss the power of manifestation.
“Shikhar Dhawan had told me that manifestation is important, just manifest that you have already done it. He invited me to his home to have this conversation. He made me start writing in a diary. One thing is visualizing that ‘I will do it’, and the other is to visualize that ‘I am doing it’. That ‘I am the best player of India, I have won many matches for the team’, he made me write this,” stated Abhishek during an appearance on Breakfast with Champions.

Abhishek Sharma also mentioned that he had a practice of journaling before each game. He also admitted to not remembering if he had put his chit in his pocket until he reached his ton.
“I do journaling before every game in the morning. So instead of that, I thought of writing on a chit. I wrote ‘This one is for Orange Army’. I kept it in my pocket. When I got to my fifty, I did not remember I had it. I kept playing and the moment I made a hundred and celebrated, I remembered it and took the chit out.”
