This was dismissed in the 10th over of the Australian inning. Sirah threw a ball backwards of a length of a length in line with the stumps and Head tried to clear some space. Then the southpaw, cutting late, made an easy catch in the 30-yard circle by Prasidh Krishna.

— Star Sports (@StarSportsIndia) October 25, 2025 Mohammed Siraj had dismissed Travis Head in his third ODI failure out of ten overall and his major five Tests. The Hyder-born pacer would be happy to get more wickets in this match to cement his seat in the 50-over team having only attained a single wicket in the first two matches. It is important to note that the 31-year-old has been neglected to be included in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy earlier this year.
Mohammed Siraj removes Travis Head against the run of play in 3rd ODI

Mohammed Siraj provided India with a much-needed chink in the arm since the openers of Australia, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head provided theirs with a flying start in the third ODI. His stern bowling contributed to the fact that it would slow the pace of scoring and put the pressure back on the hosts.
At that moment, Australia had 67/1 in 11.2 overs and Marsh and Matthew Short were at the batting end with 28 and 3 respectively. The World Cup champions had already closed the series 2-0, and thus were looking to achieve a clean sweep. The previous one had seen them defeat India by seven and two wickets respectively in the first and the second ODI.

India, however, were seeking to make the series a success before the T20I leg in Canberra on October 29. It was the second consecutive series loss in ODI in Australia since India lost 1-2 in 2020/21. Virat Kohli was also eager to score form after registering back-to-back ducks in the first two matches, to the eager fans.
