Nitish Kumar Reddy is an all-rounder, but he has been omitted by India in its Test team in the first match against South Africa. Andhra will be a part of the squad of India A in the one-day series against South Africa A at Rajkot. India A will play the three one day matches with South Africa A at the Niranjan Shah Stadium between November 13 th and 19 th.
It is important to note that after completing the A series, Nitish Kumar Reddy will join India’s red-ball squad for the second Test at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, scheduled from November 22 to 26.

Reddy represented India in the two-Test series against the West Indies in October. The 22-year-old bowled just once, conceding 16 runs in four overs without taking a wicket. However, he impressed with the bat, scoring 43 off 54 balls in his only innings.
According to India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate, it is almost certain that Dhruv Jurel will play the first Test against the Proteas, possibly as a specialist batter, especially after his two unbeaten centuries in the second unofficial Test between India A and South Africa A last week in Bengaluru. Furthermore, he scored 175 runs in three innings at an average of 87.5 during Rishabh Pant’s absence in the series against the West Indies. Meanwhile, Pant continues to recover from a foot injury.

Pant being back on the mix is likely to assume the role of a wicketkeeper, with Jurel possibly coming in the lower order.
