On Sunday, India overcame Pakistan by five wickets to win the Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai. The final was a close match as compared to their previous games in the tournament with Pakistan fighting hard. Rinku Singh debuted in the Asia cup and started with a bang as he hit a boundary with his first ball.
In the pursuit of 147, India got off to a bad start with three wickets being lost to only 20 runs. It was an important innings by Tilak Varma who not only scored 69 runs but also stabilised the chase.
Rinku had to do only one run out of three balls and he did it with a boundary and saved two balls to end the match. He said after the game that it was essential to him that he made an impression on the first delivery that he received.

“Nothing else matters. This one ball matters. One was needed. I hit it for a four. Everyone knows I am a finisher. The team won, and I am really happy,” Rinku told the host broadcasters after the victory.
India fell behind early, losing three wickets for just 20 runs in the first five overs, but Tilak Varma reversed the game with an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls. Additionally, Sanju Samson scored 24, and Shivam Dube contributed 33 off 21 balls, helping India chase 147 successfully in 19.4 overs.
The latter was a very nervous final, not so much due to the game itself but because of the scandals that occurred off the field. Indian team in the combination of Suryakumar Yadav as captain and Gautam Gambhir as the guide managed to remain calm and well-pressured.

Kuldeep Yadav played an outstanding role with a ball, ending the tournament with 17 wickets and removing the lower order of Pakistan on the cheap. In the chaos of the top-order failure, Tilak was the only character whose diligent and skillful batting would prove the difference between the success and failure of the Indian chase.
