Shubman Gill will play his first ODI for Team India as the Men in Blue take on New Zealand in a three-match home series starting January 11. The series opener is scheduled to be held at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara. The other two matches will also be played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot (January 14) and Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore (January 18).
Gill was injured in the neck while playing the first Test against South Africa at Eden Gardens, Kolkata and failed to fit for the ODI series played after that. He staged a comeback during the T20Is against the Proteas but failed with the bat and was eventually not part of the T20 World Cup side.

Conway has scored five hundreds and as many half-centuries in 40 ODIs. His high score of 152* was made off 121 deliveries versus England at Ahmedabad in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
