Suryakumar Yadav will be captaining the Men in Blue at the T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. The co-hosts are clubbed in Group A of the tournament. They start with a game against United States at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 7. Group A also includes Pakistan, Netherlands and Namibia.
India’s second group encounter will be against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on February 12. India were set to play Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on February 15. But it was unclear if the match would be played. India’s final group game will be against Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 18.

Additionally, Suryakumar scored 20 runs in two tied games and added an unbeaten 39 from two matches that officials abandoned without a ball bowled.
