On September 10, match two of the Asia cup 2025 in Dubai, Kuldeep Yadav delivered a masterpiece performance when India defeated UAE by nine wickets. First, Bowling had the hosts packaged out in only 57 runs in 13.1 overs, Kuldeep getting 4/7 and Shivam Dube adding 3/4.

The highlight was Kuldeep’s ninth over, where he picked up three wickets. Rahul Chopra mistimed a big hit and was caught at long-on, skipper Muhammad Waseem was trapped lbw, and Harshit Kaushik was bowled by a googly. His fiery spell earned him the Player of the Match award as India chased down the target in only 4.3 overs.

With this performance, Kuldeep now has 41 T20Is under his belt. His numbers are being closely compared with those of Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa at the same stage of their careers.

Kuldeep’s numbers in victories are stunning – 61 wickets in 27 wins at an average of just over 10. He has been the difference-maker in many matches.

Zampa played his part in 22 Australian wins with 33 wickets, but his record wasn’t as dominant. Kuldeep clearly had the bigger influence when his team won.
