Legendary Team India star Virat Kohli’s Instagram account went missing at around 12:30 am on January 30, leaving fans puzzled and concerned.
However, within a few hours, Kohli’s account became visible again on the popular social media platform. As of now, there has been no official clarification from the former India captain regarding the incident.

It remains unclear whether the 37-year-old briefly deactivated his account or if the disappearance was the result of a technical glitch. Interestingly, Kohli’s brother Vikas Kohli’s Instagram account also vanished around the same time and, at the time of writing, has still not been restored.

Virat Kohli is back in London after IND vs NZ 2026 ODIs

Virat Kohli was last seen in action in India’s recently concluded three-match home ODI series against New Zealand, where he continued his rich vein of form by piling up 240 runs from three innings at an impressive average of 80.
His fluent 93 off 91 balls in Vadodara guided the Men in Blue to a four-wicket win in the series opener. The veteran batter then managed 23 off 29 balls in India’s seven-wicket defeat in Rajkot.
Kohli responded strongly in the decider, registering his 54th ODI century with a classy 124 off 108 deliveries. However, the knock proved futile as the Black Caps sealed a 41-run victory in Indore, completing their first-ever men’s bilateral series win on Indian soil.

Kohli’s next assignment will be the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL), marking his 19th season with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). His form will be crucial as RCB look to defend their title.
The Bengaluru-based franchise lifted their maiden IPL trophy in 2025 after edging Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in the final. Kohli finished the season as the third-highest run-scorer, amassing 657 runs from 15 innings.
