Hayley Matthews has been ruled out of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2025 with a shoulder injury. Barbados Royals Women have not yet announced a successor. The leader will be Chinelle Henry.
With 424 runs at a strike rate of 113.06, Matthews leads the WCPL in runs scored and has been a key member of the Royals. Having taken 23 wickets in 13 games at an economy rate of 5.79, she also tops the WCPL bowling standings.

Speaking about Matthews’ injury, she sustained it when touring England with the West Indies women’s team. Because of her operation, she was unable to participate in the Women’s Big Bash League. The pre-draft pick of the Melbourne Renegades Women, Matthews chose not to participate in the WBBL draft. She later participated in the Hundred Women’s and South Africa home series.
