Renuka also came up with impressive statistics of 2 for 25 in six overs in the rain-marred game against New Zealand. She removed Georgia Plimmer and captain Sophie Devine which gave India a shot in the arm to effectively control the game. She also had one wicket against Bangladesh before the match was cancelled after having scored 23 runs in five overs.

Renuka has already represented 25 ODIs in India. Her statistics are being compared with the stats of Jasprit Bumrah after his first 25 ODIs before the semifinal as both are reputed to be consistent and have complete control over the ball.
