Gautam Gambhir, the coach of Team India also prayed in the Kalighat Temple in Kolkata before they faced South Africa in the first Test at Eden Gardens. The Asian Giants will take on the newly crowned world Test champions South Africa on a two match series starting on November 14.
India got their home season off with an easy 2-0 defeat over the West Indies but the Proteas present a much greater challenge. The hosts have to do a commendable job to beat the South Africans.

At the same time, RevSportz put a video of Gautam Gambhir at the Kalighat temple:
The final two-Test match series between India A and South Africa A ended at a draw of 1. The home team carried the first game with a tight margin; however, the Proteas pursued the first game of 417 with five wickets to spare in the latter to equal the series.
Gautam Gambhir opens up on toughest part of being a coach

Gambhir discussed a range of subjects in a recent video released to BCCI.tv, including his connection with the players. The 44-year-old discussed how the most painful conversation was when he had to drop a player. He elaborated, as reported by Cricbuzz:
“If you tell someone that he’s not playing, that’s probably the toughest conversation for a coach and a player as well because I know that the player would get upset when he deserves to be part of the playing XI. But if you’re honest, if you’re straightforward, if you know that what you’re saying is saying it from your heart and there is nothing beyond that, so I feel that some players do understand. And it’s a communication between a player and a coach.”

After the Tests, India will play South Africa in three ODIs and the same number of T20Is.
