Virat Kohli childhood lookalike revealed a sweet detail about the former captain’s conversation with Rohit Sharma prior to the first One-Day International against New Zealand on Sunday, January 11, in Vadodara. In a video posted to social media, the young admirer recounted hearing the veteran tell Rohit that he is ‘chota chiku.’
Virat Kohli, 37, was seen signing autographs for three admirers, one of whom resembled the star batsman, while on a photoshoot before the series opener. Fans were shocked and began comparing the young admirer to the Indian legend’s childhood incarnation.

When asked what he admires about Kohli, the little fan stated in the video:
“Unka style aur unka aura. Maine ek baar unka naam liya aur meri taraf dekha. Unhone hi bola aur bola main thodi der mein aata hoon. Unhone Rohit Sharma ko bola tha ki wahan mera duplicate baitha hai. Chota Chiku bola tha. Main KL Rahul, Arshdeep, Virat Kohli aur Rohit Sharma se mila tha (His style and aura. I took his name once and he looked at me. He said hi and told I’ll be back in some time. He told Rohit Sharma that my duplicate is right there. He said Chota Chiku. I met KL Rahul, Arshdeep, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma).
For those unfamiliar, the star cricketer’s nickname is Chiku.
Virat Kohli becomes second-highest run-getter in international cricket

Meanwhile, the cricketer born in Delhi starred with a quickfire 93 in the series opener at Vadodara, helping a tottering Indian side chase down 301 against New Zealand by four wickets. The 37-year-old overtook Kumar Sangakkara’s total of 28016 to become the second-highest run-getter in international cricket.
The right-hander is only second to Sachin Tendulkar in total runs across formats, having scored 28,068. The second ODI against the Kiwis will meanwhile be held on Wednesday, January 14, in Rajkot, and the Men in Blue would be aiming to wrap up the three-match series.
