Abhishek Sharma has said that Shubman Gill, his boyhood friend and teammate from India, was wealthy from an early age. Gill used to carry an iPhone, which is also one of the most expensive phone brands worldwide, whereas other teenagers during the age-group cricket days seldom ever carried a phone, according to Abhishek.
Harsha Bhogle asked Abhishek a lot of questions during the BCCI’s recent Naman Awards event in New Delhi on Sunday, March 15. The well-known pundit wanted to know which kind of phone the cricket player had used before.

“Abhishek, what was your first phone?” Bhogle asked the cricketer.
“It was a Samsung phone. But I still remember during the Under-12 or Under-14 Days, the only guy in our group who had an iPhone was Shubman Gill,” Abhishek replied.

Notably, because Abhishek and Shubman have played for the same academy since the beginning, their cricketing relationship dates back to their Under-12 days. During their early years, both of them began playing in Punjabi home circles. Later, they both became into reliable hitters for the Indian squad. They both serve as opening batsmen for their respective IPL teams.
