On Sunday, April 13, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Mumbai Indians (MI) star Jasprit Bumrah and Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman Karun Nair got into a furious argument during the IPL 2025 match. When DC was chasing a lofty goal of 206 in the second innings of the game, the incident occurred.
Nair entered the game as an impact player then struck the ball powerfully throughout the stadium which gave DC decisive control of the match. The batter attacked Bumrah during their sixth over exchange by hitting 18 runs and reached his first fifty in twenty-two balls. The last delivery went flying over a right-handed batter who rushed toward Bumrah while he stood nearby the non-striker position.
During the intermission between overs, Jasprit Bumrah verbally argued with Karun Nair, expressing his displeasure with the incident. In the background of a serious conversation between the two, Rohit Sharma responded to the occurrence in a humorous way.

Karun Nair’s 89 ended in vain as MI beat DC by 12 runs in IPL 2025 clash

Karun Nair was bowled by Mitchell Santner after maintaining his stride and smashing 89 off 40 balls. The DC batting lineup fell apart like a deck of cards after he was removed, leading to a 12-run defeat. During the post-match presentation, captain Axar Patel offered his thoughts on the defeat, stating:
“Soft dismissals in the middle order cost us the game, we still had an over left but lost way too many wickets. We might’ve hit the panic button with the shot selection. Can’t expect the lower order batters to bail us out every time. No need to worry much right now. I was happy with the way the pitch was responding, dew was on too.”

“Had we held on our catches, we might’ve been chasing less tonight. Vipraj has been brilliant, confidence as a captain is high with three spinners are doing well. Kuldeep’s season has been unbelievable, it’s working out nicely for him. We need to forget this game and move on.”
