Sai Sudharsan delivered with the bat again for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in their IPL 2025 encounter against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens on Monday, April 21. With the exception of his 49 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the left-handed hitter maintained his consistency by blasting his sixth fifty in the eighth innings of the 2025 season.
The 23-year-old used one maximum and six boundaries to score 52 runs off 36 balls with a strike rate of 144.44. He and the opening stand had a 114-run partnership during his knock.
Sai Sudharsan has already hit fifties against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Mumbai Indians (MI), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and KKR (today). He will now be trying to prolong his purple patch in the remainder of this season.
Prior to last year’s IPL 2025 super auction, the Ahmedabad-based team had paid INR 8.5 crore to keep him. Last season, the Chennai-born opener scored 527 runs in 12 innings, including two half-centuries and a century.

Sai Sudharsan was praised by X fans, who are eager for his India debut. A user wrote:

Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan Steer GT into Dominant Position vs KKR

Sai Sudharsan and captain Shubman Gill’s century-long partnership kept GT in control of their match versus KKR in the 2025 Indian Premier League. The table-toppers will look to consolidate their top spot in the points table by defeating the Knight Riders. In their first seven games, they have won five.
The Titans, with Gill and Jos Buttler at the crease, were 139/1 after 15 overs at the time of writing.
The KKR arrive from their humiliating loss where Punjab Kings defeated them by 16 runs. The Ajinkya Rahane-led team lost their chase of 112 after recording 95 runs against their opponents. Seven matches have resulted in only three victories for KKR who will prioritize winning their next contest.
