The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reiterated its long-standing stance against playing bilateral cricket with Pakistan in the wake of the horrifying terror attack in Pahalgam, South Kashmir. India will continue to avoid playing bilateral matches with Pakistan, according to BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla, who cited the government’s stance and the feeling of the country after the horrific events.
A brutal terror attack on April 22 struck Pahalgam Kashmir which killed 26 innocent victims and wounded over 20 individuals. The violent incident that happened in Baisaran has caused an intense psychological shock to the nation and brought forth an abundance of sorrowful reactions from people who are demanding legal action. Shukla issued his sympathies to those left behind and declared his opposition to the violence after the devastating event.
“We are with the victims and we condemn it. Whatever our government will say Will do. We don’t play with Pakistan in bilateral series because of the government stand. And we will not play with Pakistan in bilaterals going forward. But when the it comes to ICC event we play due to ICC engagement. ICC is also aware whatever is happening they Will to it.”
