Ravichandran Ashwin made his last appearance in an international match in 2024 in the second Test match against Australia in Adelaide. India was beaten by 10 wickets hence, it was not a game that he will remember. He achieved 29 runs in each of the two innings in that game and made only one wicket.

Ravichandran Ashwin has been playing in the international stage since 2010 when he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in Harare on June 5. He played his first T20I against Zimbabwe and happened to do it in the same stadium just seven days later. His great Test debut came in November 2011 when he made an appearance against the West Indies in Delhi.

It was in the longest format that Ashwin made his presence felt. He had taken 537 wickets in 106 Test matches with 37 five wicket hauls and eight ten-wicket matches. He played in every aspect of the game with the bat and he earned his worth as an all-rounder with 6 centuries, 14 fifties, and 3,503 runs. He had 156 ODIs and 72 T20Is wickets and played in the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 champions trophy winning Indian teams in limited-overs cricket.
