The second test between Team India and the West Indies was dominated by team India in Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. They had been 286 ahead with five wickets to go in the first innings by the end of Day 2.
The hosts did not slack off in the day, and three batters scored centuries. The bowlers of the West Indies could do little, they had no power to loosen the liaisons.
The second new ball, which came late, could not alter the situation of the game. India is in such a dominant position that the Test is likely to be over very fast in the upcoming sessions.
3. Ravindra Jadeja was severe on the West Indies spinners from the start

Ravindra Jadeja started Day 2 in brilliant fashion, attacking the West Indies spinners from the first ball. He used his feet well and struck several boundaries to get his innings going.
Later, he had to be cautious against Khary Pierre and Jomel Warrican, who got some turn and bounce. Roston Chase also bowled well, but Jadeja handled the challenge smartly. He remained unbeaten on 104, hitting five sixes in his innings.

Dhruv Jurel impressed on his debut by scoring his first Test century in a confident and solid manner. He defended well and punished loose deliveries, showing great patience.
Jurel made 15 fours and three sixes, and found a hole in the field, as well as increasing his pace after his century. Jurel has demonstrated that he can compete with long term plans of India in Test even in the absence of Rishabh Pant.

Rahul defended cautiously with most of his points coming by way of 12 boundaries and little nudges behind square. His regimented style kept the score board flying and improved his batting statistics in international cricket.
