Before the second Test between India and the West Indies at Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 10, head coach Gautam Gambhir has reportedly invited the entire squad as well as the support staff to dinner at his Delhi residence on Wednesday evening.
Rumor has it Gambhir plans to hold the dinner in his garden as an open air affair. The environment will allow everyone to relax in a non-formal setting. However, the meeting may be cancelled if rain falls in Delhi the preceding evening. This will be one of Gambhir’s first big moves as the head coach to ensure a cohesive and strong team spirit.

India are one up and two down after dominating the first Test at Ahmedabad. West Indies were routed by an innings and 140 runs with Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel all making centuries in a historic display of batting to host India.
India looks to clean sweep West Indies series

Ravindra Jadeja won the Player of the Match award for picking eight wickets and scoring 100 runs. Mohammed Siraj picked off seven wickets while Jasprit Bumrah took three of them to help India dismiss the West Indies for 162 and 146. India’s former declaration at 448/5 won a dominant three day win.
Before the second Test in Delhi, the Indian team will train at Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 8 and then join a dinner hosted by the head coach, Gautam Gambhir, later in the day. India are placed in the 3rd spot of the table of the ICC World Test Championship and will look to whitewash the series in order to improve their position before the trip overseas.
