Another fan attempted to break through security and enter the field during India’s first ODI against South Africa on November 30 in Ranchi. Previously, during the same game, a fan jumped from one of the stands and ran to the ground, touching Virat Kohli’s foot.
The fan dashed towards Virat Kohli as he scored his 52nd ODI century. Security authorities eventually escorted the fan off the ground. Following the game, a video has surfaced in which another fan is seen attempting to overcome security and get access to the playing field.

However, his endeavor was not effective. The fan jumped quickly from the stands and over the advertising hoarding. As he leaped off and hurried toward the players, security officers recognized him and followed him. They instantly grabbed the fan and pinned him down. He was therefore returned and taken away.

— Virat Kohli Fan Club (@Trend_VKohli) December 1, 2025 The fan was donning a Team India ODI jersey that featured Kohli’s name and number. Virat Kohli slammed a magnificent century and the Men in Blue overcame the rivals by 17 runs. On 120 for four he ate up those balls, taking single after single until the last two overs when he suddenly exploded – 135 from only 120, boasting a strike rate of over 112 having struck 11 fours and seven maximums.
India will aim to seal the ODI series in Raipur

The series is led by three matches, with the second ODI scheduled for Wednesday, December 3. The match will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. The hosts will be further buoyed heading into the second game after their win in the opener.
They will eye a victory in Raipur and seal the series 2-0 with one match remaining. South Africa will have to win this match if they hope to keep their series chances alive. India, after losing the Test series 0-2, would be desperate to clinch a win here, even if it’s in a different format.

Virat Kohli’s stylish century, and half-centuries from Rohit Sharma and captain KL Rahul in the first match, gave the team a big boost. With the ball, Kuldeep Yadav claimed four wickets, followed by Harshit Rana (3) and Arshdeep Singh (2). The hosts, therefore, will be brimming with confidence as they look to take the series for themselves.
