India won by a dominant 41-run margin over Bangladesh in Dubai to ensure their finalist spot in Asia Cup 2025. The tremendous knock by the outstanding (Abhishek Sharma) and the outstanding performance of the spinners further convinced the victory of the tournament ensuring that India will remain the most dependable team of the tournament.
Bangladesh emerged the winner of the toss and decided to go out to field hoping to make their first appearance in the final of the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, the effort of Abhishek Sharma was in support of India innings since they recorded 168/6.

Abhishek Sharma continued with his brilliant performance against the Pakistan match and hit a rapid 75 with 37 balls against Bangladesh. The fact that his innings were laced with six fours and five sixes set the pace of the Indians innings. The two paired with Shubman Gill (29 out of 19) provided India with a flying start as they ran away to 72 during the powerplay.
Gill’s wicket, falling while trying to attack Rishad Hossain, slowed India down a touch. Shivam Dube, promoted up the order, couldn’t make an impact, but Abhishek kept the scoreboard moving. He brought up his fifty in just 25 balls and kept the pressure on Bangladesh, pushing India to 112/2 by the 11th over. However, his run-out, created by a brilliant piece of fielding from Rishad, shifted the game’s momentum.

From that point, India’s middle order struggled. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Axar Patel fell cheaply, leaving India in a tricky spot. It was Hardik Pandya who steadied the innings, playing a crucial 38 off 29 to help India finish at 168/6. For Bangladesh, Rishad was the standout with figures of 2/27, while Tanzim
Bangladesh’s chase of 169 never really took off as India’s bowlers struck at regular intervals. Jasprit Bumrah set the tone early by dismissing Tanzid Hasan in the second over. Kuldeep Yadav soon got into the act, removing Parvez Hossain Emon for 21 before tightening his grip on the lower order later in the innings.

Saif Hassan was the only fighter of Bangladesh and he hit 69 on 51 balls including three fours and five sixes. He came to his half-century in 36 balls, and endeavored to continue the pursuit. However, as some of the mainstays such as Shamim Hossain, Towhid Hridoy and the captain Jaker Ali prostrated themselves at the hands of the opposition, the pressure had piled on and Bangladesh had lost its hopes.
The middle overs were under control of India spin duo of Varun Chakravarthy (2/29) and Axar Patel (1/37), who barely gave partnerships a chance to thrive. The pair of hits by Kuldeep in the 17 th over shattered the backbone of the innings and Bumrah came back to end Saif in the 18 th. Bangladesh disintegrated to 127 all out with 40 runs as the last five wickets being lost.
