BCCI Applauds Rohit Sharma for a Stellar Test Career

Rohit Sharma was back in charge of the Indian team

As Rohit Sharma announces his retirement from the game’s longest format, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) offers its sincere congratulations on an incredible and motivational Test career. He will be involved in India’s ODI campaigns even after he retires from Test and T20I cricket.

Rohit Sharma’s path as the 35th captain of the Indian Test team has been one of development, tenacity, and outstanding leadership from his 2013 debut. He amassed 4,301 runs at an average of 40.57 over 67 Test matches, including 12 hundreds and a career-high 212. Beyond the numbers, however, he left a legacy of unwavering moral character, strategic acumen, and dedication to Indian cricket.

Rohit Sharma has tallied 133 in ten Test innings this home season

Rohit’s journey from being an opener in test cricket to one among the most successful openers in test cricket shows the kind of adaptability and desire to perform in the longest format of the game that one could ever imagine. He faced the challenges of Test cricket in a professional manner and added good touch of the golden era with more aggression and aggressiveness as an opener.

In his captaincy tenure, he took over at a stage when India was experiencing a transition and suffering from a series of injuries; he represented Indian team in 24 tests out of which it won 12. He led a generation, entertained millions with his batting, and remained truthful right through the personified career wearing whites.
