South Africa former captain Faf du Plessis termed Jasprit Bumrah as the toughest bowler to confront. He mocked that he would not wish the Ace Indian speedster to participate in the SA20 in future, the local franchise in South Africa.
It is this consistency with the years that has seen Bumrah become one of the best all-round bowlers in the modern cricket. Bumrah as most fast bowlers has suffered several ailments during his career. Nevertheless, none of them have succeeded in bringing him down, and he keeps on building his legacy series one series after another.

Du Plessis has played against Jasprit Bumrah in international cricket and in the Indian premier league several times. The batsman of the Delhi Capitals has come to appreciate his opponent of Mumbai Indians due to intense player-fans on field encounters.
“Bumrah is the toughest bowler in the world to face. Hope we don’t see him in SA20,” Joburg Super Kings’ skipper du Plessis said while speaking at the SA20 India Day event in Mumbai.

Jasprit Bumrah will take part in two Tests against South Africa, with the first one being played at Kolkata and the renowned Eden Gardens. The show starts on November 14 on Friday. The Test is a sellout according to Sourav Ganguly, the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). There were many spectators who were present at the Eden Gardens this week to watch Shubman Gill and his team mates training.
Bumrah will likely make a significant impact in the upcoming Test series. So far this year, he has been in spectacular form, taking 23 wickets in six Tests at an average of 23.43 and a strike rate of 47.3. In addition, his performances include two five-wicket hauls. Moreover, the right-arm pacer has an impressive record against the Proteas, claiming 38 wickets in eight matches at an average of 20.76 and a strike rate of 41.9.
