Even though Seale’s outstanding performances in a memorable home ODI series against Pakistan and Henry’s clinical display in a two-Test series in Zimbabwe put India in contention, Siraj’s explosion on the last day of the Test series against England helped India win in dramatic fashion at The Oval.

The women’s shortlist is determined by European T20I results. For instance, the Netherlands’ Zwilling earned a spot after taking a ton of wickets in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier. Meanwhile, Muneeba made the shortlist after scoring a brilliant century to help win the final match of that series. Additionally, Ireland all-rounder Orla Prendergast secured her place by helping Ireland win a home T20I series against Pakistan and maintaining her form in subsequent T20Is.
