Rishabh Pant, India’s standout wicketkeeper-batsman, has returned home after injuring his right foot in the fourth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England in Manchester on July 23.
Pant is now scheduled to start rehabilitation at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru after weeks of consultations in Mumbai and England. Given India’s hectic schedule, his recuperation will determine whether he can return quickly. The home series against the West Indies in October is thought to be his first potential comeback.

Rishabh Pant was hurt at Old Trafford after being struck in the foot by a delivery from Chris Woakes. The cricket player had to quit injured after hitting 37 at the moment. But he came back the following day with a 54 after a lot of strapping. India won the fifth Test at the Oval, tying the series, although he was unable to play due to the damage. Pant remained in England following the game before traveling to Mumbai to consult with medical professionals, who have since directed him to a Bengaluru rehabilitation program.

According to Cricbuzz, the youngster’s foot is still bound, and while tests are underway, doctors have given him a rough schedule for recuperation. Being healthy for the October home red-ball series against the West Indies is his primary goal. If that turns out to be premature, he might make a comeback in the October–November white-ball series against Australia.
Through social media, Pant has kept followers informed about his trip. Most recently, he shared an inspirational tweet about his mental toughness. The southpaw was sidelined for more than a year in 2022 after a near-fatal vehicle accident. Before returning to international cricket in 2024, he had to have major knee surgery and rehabilitation. In addition to his injury, he has experienced recurrent fitness issues and finger problems.
