Star India batsman Ishan Kishan was seen in discomfort after a yorker from pacer Jasprit Bumrah hit him during the practice session at the Oval on Wednesday, February 11. This before the Men in Blue’s second match of T20 World Cup 2026, slated to be played against Namibia on Thursday, February 12 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
On the eve of the game, RevSportz reported Ishan was hit on his left toe during preparations. He was lying on the ground when the physio came to attend him and he was also attended by bowling coach Morne Morkel and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak while walking off, after suffering a blow behind his ears.

The southpaw’s injury is something that Camp-management or Team-India wouldn’t like to prolong the retrieval and they’ll be hoping for the gate-crasher’s hand to be a minor injury.
Abhishek has a stomach infection and was discharged from the hospital earlier today. Whether he would play in the match is up in the air, but team management is hopeful its swashbuckling batter will be available. On a good note, Washington Sundar has fully recovered from his side strain and has been practicing with the team for the past two days.

In the T20 World Cup 2026 opener against the USA at Mumbai on February 7, he opened with Abhishek Sharma and scored 20 off 16 balls in an eight-wicket win for the hosts.
