India thrashed Namibia by 93 runs at the Arun Jaitley in Delhi in their Group B match of the 2026 T20 World Cup on Thursday, February 12. With this the Men in Blue notched their second win of the event. Previously, Suryakumar Yadav and co. had defeated United States of America (USA) by 29 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
On Thursday, Namibia won the toss and elected to bat first against India. They posted a huge 209-9 on the board in their 20 overs with opener Ishan Kishan smashing 61 from 24 balls and all-rounder Hardik Pandya striking 52 off 28 deliveries. Namibia were bowled out for 116 in 18.2 overs in the chase. Varun Chakaravarthy shone with the ball with two overs of carnage for 3-7.

5. India won by 68 runs against England in Guyana, during the 2024 T20 World Cup semifinal

India beat England by 68 runs in the second semifinal of the 2024 T20 World Cup, at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Invited to bat, India scored 171 for seven before the bowlers held their nerves to restrict England to 103 all out in 16.4 overs.
Captain Rohit Sharma led the charge with 57 off 39 balls for India as Suryakumar made an important 47 off 36 deliveries. In reply, England faltered against slow bowlers India left-arm spinner Axar Patel taking 3-23 and wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav chipping in with 3-19.

With the bat, Suryakumar (61* off 25), shone for India. Batting at the top of the order KL Rahul to scored a quick-fire 51 off 35 balls. Ryan Burl top-scored with 35 for Zimbabwe in the chase. Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers for Team India with figures of 3-22 while Mohammad Shami and Pandya scalped two wickets each.

The superstitious hoi polloi had pharma party with team India at they beat Australia by a thumping margin of 73 runs in the Super 10 round of the T20 World Cup 2014 match held at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. Opting to bat, the Men in Blue scored 159/7 in their 20 overs and then bowled out Australia for 86 in 16.2 overs.
India fell to 66 for four batting first. But Yuvraj Singh’s 60 from just 43 balls helped to carry them to a decent total. Ashwin soon did serious damage to Australia’s batting, finishing with 4-11 from 3.2 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was another notable performer with 2-18 from his four overs and leg-spinner Amit Mishra took 2-13 in three.

Namibia never got out of the blocks in the chase. Their openers Louren Steenkamp (29 off 20) and Jan Frylinck (22 off 15) were the only two batsmen who managed to make more than 20. For the Men in Blue, besides Chakaravarthy’s heroics, Axar bagged 2-20 from three overs and Pandya ended up with figures of 2-21 from four.
