Shreyas Iyer is perhaps among the strongest fielders of the world cricket. On Thursday, April 16, he described his avenues of exemplary sporting performance in the legendary Wankhede Stadium in the high voltage encounter with the Mumbai Indians.
Marco Jansen delivered a delivery that aningled Hardik Pandya, which seemed to be an off-pace ball in the 18th over of the first innings. The all-rounder of Baroda had reached the big shot, and had hit it with the toe-end of the bat. It was still in search of a peak, but it was Shreyas to the rescue. The PBKS skipper jumped sideways having ran to his left as a long-on and received the ball reverse cup. When he caught it he was in the air.

But he suddenly realised that he was stumbling over the ropes, and immediately he threw the ball back to Xavier Bartlett who caught it with ease. This attempt by Shreyas zoned Hardik 12 balls away who had been knocking the ball 14 times, leaving the MI dugout shocked.
