Dhanashree Verma, the former wife of Indian Cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal is making several allegations against him on the OTT reality show, Rise and Fall. The couple, who married in December 2020, finally divorced on March 20, 2025, after Bandra family court Mumbai granted them a divorce on mutual consent basis. They were said to have been living separately since June 2022.
Amid the ongoing controversy, Shikhar Dhawan shared a light-hearted reel with his close friend Chahal. In the video, a background voice says, “We’ll get you married, son. Let me get married first,” while Dhawan humorously plays the role of Chahal’s father.

Chahal appears surprised and asks, “Papa, are you married?” to which Dhawan jokingly introduces his girlfriend Sophie Shine as Chahal’s “third mother.” The playful video ends with Dhawan feeding Chahal, leaving fans amused. The clip quickly went viral, with viewers praising their bond and sense of humor.

Shikhar Dhawan Retires, Yuzvendra Chahal Eyes India Comeback

The veteran India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan called a halt to his entire international and domestic cricketing career on August 24, 2024. Despite no longer being in the main Indian team, he is still playing in other Legends teams all over the world. He gained publicity in the World Championship of Legends in England where he strongly resisted that matches should be played with Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal is building a strong case for returning to the Indian national team. The leg-spinner has the most wickets in IPL history. He has not played in India since August 2023, though, even with all his achievements. Chahal has played 72 ODIs and 80 T20Is and has 121 and 96 wickets, respectively.

Yuzvendra Chahal played as Punjab Kings’ representative in last season’s IPL. He took 16 wickets in 14 games and his average stood at 26.88. At 35, he is currently focused on performing well in the domestic competitions this year so that he gets picked once again in the national team.
